My name is Eric Schurter. I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2005 with a BFA in Filmmaking/Photography. Other than film, my interests include web design, illustration, photography, comics, and I'm starting to learn application development for OS X. I work full time as a Mac Genius with the Apple Store in Richmond, VA. In my free time, I've been doing freelance web design for some local companies, which has been a great learning experience. • Chuck's Convertible Parts
  A redesign that is still in progress for this client. The current site is made with multiple framesets, is inaccessable, and needed updating. After bringing the content up to date, I began a redesign entirely in CSS with some AJAX scripts for added polish. Although it's in its early stages, the framework is up and everything is working (except in Windows IE6, of course).
• Bud's Heating & Air Conditioning
  Another complete redesign is still in progress. After a previous job that had me frustrated with table-based design, I decided to tackle this one almost entirely in CSS (the nav was still built in Dreamweaver). Take a look at the "Meet Our Team" page, which was implemented completely in CSS. This marked the beginning of my obsession with CSS.
• Aquatic Services
  This site marked the first time a client asked specifically for Flash animation and it also marked the beginning of my frustration with table-based design. After learning Flash from books for over a year, I was really excited to get some real-world use out of it, even if it was just for a simple slideshow.
• 2forOne Productions
  I made this site for a local, indie film company. The films' dark, experimental tone influenced the design heavily. Check out the "In Production" page, which was the highlight of the site and the first time I embedded QuickTime video into a page.
• CapitolMac
  This was my first major web project. I was working there at the time and they needed to start from scratch. With over 50 pages of copy to write and hundreds of images to create, it was a great learning experience. I was especially happy with the informative rollovers and the Hardware/Displays page.

• Self Portrait Series
  A series of 6 etchings that explored my very loose interpretation of the self portrait.
• Other Prints
  An etching and a lithograph that I just did for fun.
